シンボルである「1本の線」が表すもの
□ スタートライン
「PenFork」はイルローザの原点である「時計台」プロジェクトの起点となる場所。一本の境界線を引くことで、ここから新しい一歩を踏み出すという決意を表しています。
□ 点と点が繋がり生まれる線
人、社会、人生、歩み、場所、距離、時間などさまざまな繋がりの場となるようにという想いが込められています。
□ あらゆるものを受けとめる器
要素や情報を詰め込むのではなく、あらゆるものを許容する「器」として捉え、見る人の思考や環境によって変化する、思考を活性化させる余白のデザイン、きっかけのデザインを目指しました。
文字のエレメントは原点である「時計台」のロゴタイプから抽出してそのDNAを反映させ、新しい場でありながらどこか懐かしさの感じられるタイプフェイスへと昇華させています。また、アールをいかした内装やサインなどと形状を合わせることで環境の統一感を心がけました。
The Meaning Behind the Single Line
A Starting Line
PenFork marks the beginning of Il Rosa's Clock Tower Project, serving as the place where a new chapter begins. The single line represents the act of drawing a boundary—a symbolic starting line that expresses the determination to take the first step toward the future.
A Line Formed by Connecting Points
A line exists only when individual points are connected. It symbolizes the relationships between people, communities, places, time, and life itself, reflecting PenFork's role as a place where meaningful connections are created.
A Vessel That Embraces Possibility
Rather than filling the identity with predefined symbols or information, the design was conceived as a vessel—one that welcomes diverse interpretations. It leaves space for the viewer's thoughts, experiences, and surroundings to shape its meaning, encouraging curiosity, imagination, and new perspectives.
The letterforms draw their DNA from the logotype of the Clock Tower, the origin of the project, and reinterpret it as a contemporary typeface that feels both new and quietly familiar. Their rounded forms were also designed to harmonize with the curved interior architecture and signage, creating a consistent visual language throughout the space.
