Awa no ne no gogo 2019
いつもの“徳島の音”とは違う視点で魅せる邦楽演奏会。音はもちろん照明や距離感にもこだわり、舞台と観客席とが一体になるような迫力のある演出が魅力のひとつ。この演奏会を表現するために
・その場所から透過して見えるもの。
・背景を取り込み一つになるもの。
・背景と一体となって見えてくるもの。
これらをデザインのコンセプトに据えました。 ポスターに穴を開けることで背景をポスターの一部として捉え、掲示される場所によって見え方が違って見えるように。用紙は強い風合いの残る「わたがみ」という紙を使用。タイトル題字の溜めやかすれなどの臨場感を生かすために印刷は担当者とシビアなやり取りを繰り返しました。
I developed the complete graphic design for a traditional Japanese music concert that presented the sounds of Tokushima from a fresh perspective. Beyond the performance itself, the production carefully considered lighting, spatial relationships, and audience proximity to create an immersive experience in which the stage and the audience became one.
The graphic concept was built around three ideas:
・Revealing what lies beyond.
・Embracing the surrounding environment as part of the design.
・Becoming complete through its relationship with the background.
To express these ideas, the poster was die-cut with circular openings that allowed the surrounding environment to become part of the composition. As a result, the poster's appearance changed depending on where it was displayed, making each installation unique.
A richly textured watagami paper was selected to enhance the tactile quality of the piece. Particular attention was also given to faithfully reproducing the expressive brushstrokes of the title calligraphy—including its subtle pauses, feathering, and texture—through close collaboration with the printer and meticulous press supervision.
