富士の麓・富士宮で創業50年を迎えた『酒舗よこぜき』の記念ウイスキー「鎮國之山」。富士山の別名“国を鎮める山”を冠し、富士山や桜島など各蒸溜所ゆかりの山を模した切り抜きラベルから、琥珀色の液体で山影が浮かび上がるデザインに。希少なカスクストレングスの力強さと、土地・自然・造り手の情熱を表現した特別な一本です。
I designed the packaging for Chinkoku no Yama, a commemorative whisky created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shuho Yokozeki, a specialty liquor store founded in Fujinomiya at the foot of Mount Fuji.
Named after an ancient epithet for Mount Fuji—"the mountain that calms and protects the nation"—the label features a die-cut silhouette inspired by the mountains associated with the whisky's distilleries, including Mount Fuji and Sakurajima. As the amber whisky shows through the cutout, the mountain landscape gradually emerges, creating a distinctive visual experience.
This special release captures the bold character of a rare cask-strength whisky, while expressing the deep connection between the land, nature, and the passion of its makers.
